Hi,

After uninstalling Visual Basic and Visual C# Express versions and
installing the 180 Day evaluation of Visual Studio 2005 Pro I now no longer
have any Help files or Dynamic Help. Any time I try to load MSDN or any Help
files I get the following error message

"Microsoft Document Explorer cannot be shown because the specified help
collection 'ms-help://ms.vscc.v80' is invalid"

I have reinstalled the software 3 times using the default install locations
and also changing them, but I still get the same error message.

I've also noticed when I use Dynamic link I also get "No links are available
for the current selection" error instead of links..

I installed it from a DVD. Is the a file I can copy from the DVD and install
manual? Is there a key with regedit ( I'll be very carefull using this :-) )
that I can change the location of the Help files?

Can anyone help?

Hi,

Did you make sure you uninstalled all previous versions of the MSDN
library, Visual Studio help, and Document Explorer before you installed
the new versions?

There's two different ways to install Visual Studio help

1) From within VS Setup
2) Using an external help collection and "integrating" it
