Who is responsible for that news group?

Hi, whoever you are,
How can you tolerate posts like "heroin's hot & sexy videos"?
As a user, I'm expecting to find questions and answers about VS.NET and not
anything else.
Could you delete this entry, please?
Thanks.

There is no one censoring the posts here - anyone can post whatever he
likes. If you don't like it, you don't have to read it.

The groups are cleaned out from time to time, but the spammers know they
get some time in the group prior to being deleted most days. This is esp.
true over holidays. MS is also more vested in forums these days, so NNTP is
not monitored as well as it should be.

Hi Gregory,
I'm glad to read your comment: somebody somewhere cares but can't find the
time to clean up this newsgroup. OK. I can live with that.
But I am surprised to find out that there has not been a single new post
since dec. 30th 2009. Even considering the holidays, that is not normal. I
posted some questions a while ago and I got no answers.
It that newsgroup really for VS.NET General Discussions? Is it the only one?
Is there anyone home?
Where else can someone get answers to his (or her) questions about VS.NET?
Another point: is it normal to get no notification when you click "Notify me
of replies" before posting?
Thank you again, Gregory, and have a great year.

That might be because people have left these usenet type forums and moved to
the MSDN forums related to Visual Studio, which sounds like the kind of
place you're looking for.
